I believe we have a silent epidemic going on worldwide that is claiming the fullness of life from most everyone alive. It does not cause death of the flesh, but ends hope, crushes dreams and pushes us to settle for being “average.”

It’s the plague of being un-noticed. It’s the silent hunger for worth and value by anyone that can see something in us worth treasuring.

But never fear! There is a cure! A reality that everyone on this planet has been uniquely wired by God for an amazing purpose. The reality that you and I, if we were honest, have unfulfilled dreams tucked away in the far corners of our heart, wishing for a someday to form roots and grow fruit. The reality that our current place in this world leaves us dry, tired and completely meaningless.

What if someone, anyone noticed your God-given inner-wiring?

What if a “crazy little monkey” interrupted your escape from “taking your place” in this very life that God created you to live? (Tribute to The Lion King)

Can I be that Rapheeki voice you may need to hear tonight friend?

Come closer and let me remind you, dear child, that you too have a Father and He is very much alive. Your dreams are not meant to stay in your imagination for He placed a passion in your heart for a reason.[tweetthis]You are His dream turned into reality.[/tweetthis]. Don’t waste your gift dear friend. I give you permission to look deeper, search harder into those guarded dreams of your heart and find your Abba writing His story through you. I give you permission to chase after your dreams.

As many of you know, I love inserting my name into His promises. Feel free to replace my name with yours tonight friends –

For I know the plans I have for you Bethany,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope…Bethany, if you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. (Jeremiah 29:11, 13 NLT)

You have been noticed. Now, go notice Him at work in you.

  1. Bethany, I am new to your blog – it is wonderful and I especially love how you insert your name into scripture. What a powerful idea! And yes, we have all been uniquely wired by God for an amazing purpose. Thank you for reminding us of that essential truth.

  2. I love your post!!! Sometimes we feel like no one notice us and we are unknown but every day, every moment We are noticed by Him… And we have something to do that’s the reason we all are here on earth. Thank you for your words, they gave me courage and could knew what I have to do.

  3. Love this Bethany. We want to be noticed but there is an equal need that we notice and pay attention to God’s incredible gifts to us! Thank you for those beautiful thoughts!

  4. Bethany this was beautiful. All of it. I see this plague you are talking about ravaging peoples hearts silently. You know what I’ve discovered? When God starts dealing with this, this call to answer His dreams…it’s difficult. At first you are excited but things become upturned and fear creeps in. I truly enjoyed reading this and enjoyed inserting my name where you did. Thank you! I’ve believed for a long time that part of who i am supposed to be is someone who catches other peoples dreams for them and then sends them back when they think they are never going to happen. To believe in others dreams. Sometimes that is a little easier than believing them for yourself. I loved the phrase about ‘wholeheartedness’. in that passage. Have you read Becoming Myself by Stasi Eldredge? It speaks very specifically about this topic. Great read!
